ASLA
Founded in 1899, the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) is the professional association for landscape architects in the United States, representing more than 15,000 members. The Society’s mission is to advance landscape architecture through advocacy, communication, education, and fellowship. We support this organization because we too believe in advancing the field of landscape architecture. mmcité is a proud sponsor of the annual ASLA conference and Landscape Architecture Magazine. We also sponsor various regional chapters of the ASLA, in an effort to connect with landscape architects on a deeper and more personal level.
Landscape Architecture Foundation
For over 50 years, the Landscape Architecture Foundation (LAF) has provided leadership and resources to empower landscape architects to use their unique skills to change the world. Its mission is to support the preservation, improvement, and enhancement of the environment. Through its leadership and philanthropic activities, LAF advances the body of knowledge and supports innovative projects and initiatives needed not only for the landscape architecture discipline but for the many other individuals and organizations who share LAF’s mission and are critical to its success. We are proud to join in this mission and provide support to the LAF.
LABash
LABash is an educational landscape architecture conference hosted for students, by students. It originated in 1970, and is held at a different university every year. This annual conference brings together landscape architecture students with professionals in the field, for a weekend of inspired networking. It is important for us at mmcité to attend this conference to lend support and resources to students starting out in the industry. We also learn a lot from listening to students, so this conference is a highly valuable event for us!
The Street
You don’t just tolerate the street, you live it! Long live The Street. The goal of this all-day international conference is for people with something to say about the development of public spaces to come together. Here, prominent figures and professionals, who would never otherwise have the chance, can meet and discuss real problems which affect the whole world. Our goal is to bring not just clear solutions and street furniture products, but also to be an initiator of meetings and discussions which enrich public spaces and move us forward. It is for this reason that The Street was created, to welcome urban planners, architects and journalists to the Baťa Institute in Zlín each and every year.
