Project Snow Hill swiftly introduced us to a range of intriguing endeavors.
This ambitious undertaking, led by the architects from Broadway Malyan, saw Cornwall Street undergo a remarkable transformation as part of the broader Snow Hill regeneration plan.
We're proud to have contributed to this groundbreaking project, which focused on revitalizing pedestrian spaces and fostering urban connectivity. A key transformation involved converting Cornwall Street from a two-way to a one-way street, running west from New Market Street to Newhall Street. This change brought pedestrians closer to the heart of the city, with expansive sidewalks adorned with unique seating arrangements, like our Landscape Compact. These circular benches, set among large planters, not only provide a resting spot but also double as atmospheric lighting sources in the evenings.
The street's steep incline inspired the integration of playful elements suitable for both adults and children. Each piece, crafted from custom-made wooden slats, fit together like a puzzle, creating a welcoming ambiance for those passing through.
And there's more to discover on this rejuvenated street. Our products are in great company, situated among several renowned establishments, including the Michelin-starred Purnell’s, the School of Art, and the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery.
