In the summer of 2018, Absolut Home in Åhus, Sweden opened its doors to a completely renovated brick building from the early 20th century, in order to share experiences, courses and tastings. Short thereafter, Absolut Home, or The Absolut Villa, soon became one of Sweden's biggest tourist attractions with visitors from all over the world.
The outdoor environment is characterized by greenery, colors and shapes. This is how Helen Sirensjö and Anna-Lena Biel Jönsson, owners of Form & Struktur Trädgårdsarkitektur and the creators of the outdoor environment for Absolut Home, write about their thoughts on the project:
“There needs to be something here all seasons: beautiful spring blossom, lush greenery in summer, and the beatiful color changing on the leaves in the autumn. The garden should also have walkways with flower beds, lawns, and shrubs. It will be an experience for both visitors and passers-by. The garden should also fit the house, which is a former a private owned home. We want visitors to be able to use and experience the garden.”
